This Site is dedicated to women everywhere who are suffering with abnormal uterine bleeding and looking for a treatment for it. Wishing you peace!

Hello and Welcome!

I created this Web Site for women who have had or are considering an endometrial ablation, as well as for women trying to make the decision between having an endometrial ablation performed or having a hysterectomy performed. Before I had my endometrial ablation I searched the Internet for individual experience stories from women that actually had an endometrial ablation and I found very few. I wanted to hear what it was like to go through and see the results from other women that went through this and that understood it.

After my endometrial ablation I decided that since I only found a handful of individual experience stories from women that live this, I would change that and so I created this Site so that no woman would ever have to feel the way I did ~ alone in this. It is a very stressful time when one lives with menorrhagia and/or any type abnormal uterine bleeding. When we are able to communicate with other women going through the same thing, I really feel that helps us to not feel as stressed out or alone in this.

There are many online articles on endometrial ablations, and they are great sources of information. I also feel very strongly about women helping women support as we all relate to one another in many ways, and we can lend support to one another, share the information we come across on these issues, and share our individual experiences which will give any woman looking for information a view point from women that live this, as opposed to just what an author will write on it and this blended together is the key to being as informed as we should be, as this is our health we are dealing with. This Web Site offers you the opportunity to gather as much information as you can about endometrial ablation and thus ask your own personal physician very specific questions about this approach.

The information contained within these pages is for educational purposes and general information only. The Discussion Forums on this Site are meant to be used as a means of "women helping women" support. ;) I am not a doctor or a medical professional, I am just one woman that lived menorrhagia and had an endometrial ablation for it to try to overcome it. It is so important to take charge of your medical care by educating yourself. Any medical problem, especially one that is pointing towards surgery, is anxiety producing. Knowledge is power and a good antidote to anxiety.

Doctors are understandably leery of information their patients find on the Internet, however, the information contained within these pages and in the Discussion Forums is from my own personal experience and from the individual experiences of women that have had or are considering an endometrial ablation. This is a support group for women by women. Any other information presented here is from Medical Journals and from highly respected, published Doctors and this is clearly referenced throughout this Web Site and on the Credit Page

Join the conversation in the Endometrial Ablation Discussion Forums where you can exchange thoughts and experiences with other women from around the world.
